Hello guys.

I have been checking the Buyers Guide, and I came up with this new build to buy. I need advice to know if this is compatible with Catalina and if it is a good build for my purposes: 70% for editing and graphics, and 30% for gaming.

MOBO: Gigabyte Z390 Designare
CPU: Intel Core i9-9900K
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT Gaming
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT (4x16GB)
SSD: Samsung Evo 970

I already have the fans, the case and and an Antec high current gamer 900W.

Would appreciate your inputs.
Thanks!!!

Other than requiring 10.15.1 Catalina for the RX 5700 XT you should be good to go.
You did mean a Core i9 9900k, yes?

haha... yes, I meant an i9-9900K, but I am also considering the i7-9700K. Looks like it is not much of a difference in terms of performance and saves me around £160.

Not a big difference for Gaming because they do not use Hyper-threding. The I7 drops the 8 hyper threads so other programs and apps that take advantage of the hyper threads will suffer some performance loss. You may or may not even notice.

The i7 9700K or i7 9700KF will definitely save quite a bit of money over the 9900K. For your purposes either of them should be more than enough.
