Hi everyone.

I'm planning on building my first hackintosh, and I was wondering if you could evaluate my build as well as answer a few questions for me.

I intend to use this build mainly for gaming and DAW projects (Pro Tools & Logic)

My proposed build is as follows:

Case: Antec P280 Black Super Mid Tower Computer Case
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UP5 TH
CPU: Intel Core-i7 3770k
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 660 Ti
PSU: CORSAIR Professional Series HX650 650W ATX12V Modular
Memory: CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1600
SSD 1 (OSX): SanDisk Extreme SDSSDX-120G-G25 2.5" 120GB SATA III
SSD 2 (Win7): SanDisk Extreme SDSSDX-120G-G25 2.5" 120GB SATA III
HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM001 2TB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s
Optical Drive: ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS Black SATA 24X DVD Burner
WiFi: TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Wireless N900 Dual Band PCI Express

First, are there any glaring incompatibilities with this build?

Secondly, will it have any outright problems running Pro Tools 9 or 10?

Third, will Snow Leopard and Mountain Lion be equally compatible with this build?

Thanks for reading this and for any help or advice you can provide.

No incompatibility, but the DVDRW may prevent sleep/autosleep.

It should run protools just fine assuming protools will run in the OS you decide to use

Snow Leopard will not run on Ivy Bridge hardware at all. Lion or ML will run just fine.

Ah, thanks for the help. I guess I'm going with ML and Pro Tools 10.

Also, I made the plunge and purchased all the parts today (expect I downgraded the CPU to a 3570k and I changed the optical drive to a Sony AD-7280S-0B).
