Hi,

I'm looking into getting an SSD for my build, but I don't know what's compatible with OS X. I need space just for OS X install and scratch space.

Help?

Oh, ok. I had read somewhere that you need to change a mode in BIOS for an SSD to work with OS X. Is this true, or should it work without any BIOS setting changes?

Not really.. If you use it for a bootdrive and to store a few applications 60 is more then enough.

I purchased Intel SSDs and am starting my build today.

For reference, I bought a 120GB for my OSX, because I do all of my work on there, so I will have things like CS5 and FCP Studio on there, so I wanted a larger drive just in case of..well, anything.

Then I purchased a 80GB for my WIN7 portion, on which I will just be playing games and watching movies. While both of those may be a little bit of overkill, I agree with the above posted advice that a little more might be better.
