Additional sata ports via intel raid card

I need more sata ports in my current build and was wondering if anyone has tested this card or had any experience with it in OS X

You'd be better off having a look at Areca, something like this maybe http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816151116
As they actually offer OS X drivers, unlike the Intel/LSI controller which isn't supported afaik...
