Adding/Using HiDPI custom resolutions

All this is interesting.
Thank you for the details.
Unfortunately I am ignorant on the subject ....
But then, trying to put a piece, I would like to keep this monitor, which still has a high quality. But I would just like to try to solve the problem of the text.

Following what you said, (I do not know if I'm saying crap) trying to create a display override with 5120x2880, I could get a 2560x1440 HiDPI?
At what resolution would it scale?

Or, what could I do to improve the quality?

I found a similar post, and they said they had solved with displayPort cable, but it does not seem credible.

You will need to be more specific regarding the problem you have.

Have the same quality on both monitors.
I wish the Texts were not grainy on the second monitor.

What do you mean by "both monitors"? What two monitors do you have?

(now with 2560x1440, the text is a bit 'blurred)

And I would like it to be clear even on the external monitor.

I think your problem has maybe nothing to do with HiDPI and is probably off-topic here, it could be related to something else...

You should read:

- 1st about overscan issues : https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/fuzzy-blurry-monitor-fixed.212701/
- 2nd about "OS X thinks my monitor is a TV" -> "override an EDID setting to force the RGB colour space" :

I also found this.

do you think I can be related to my problem? should I try?
Thank you

Not possible for me to know. You haven't provided any details/images that show what your actual issue is.

OK, I'm attaching two screens.

This is integrated mbp display

This is Lenovo:

as you can see,
On the Lenovo you lose a bit of detail, especially (only in fact..) on the rendering of the font.

I've been trying to use this guide to make my monitor work with native resolution with HiDPI without success. I followed the instructions here and used the online tool to create a plist. After reboot, nothing new shows up in system preferences. Can anyone please tell me what I am doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Attached is the plist.
