Hello, I have been running a Hackintosh since Leopard days. My current system which I have been using for the past 4 years is as followed:

EVGA X58 LE
Graphics: EVGA GTX 280

Everything works using either Chimera or Clover. Recently I purchased a second graphics card to drive my third monitor that I just picked up: EVGA GTX 260 ( I tried to order something as close to what I already own ). This card is installed in a 4X slot (motherboard suggestion for 2 graphics card).

For both graphics card when I try to use them individually I need to use GraphicsEnabler=Yes, PciRoot=1 for proper boot. I am using DVI on all 3 ports.

However, when booting the system with both cards in things seem normal with -v (no obvious errors), but graphics end up kicking off at the end (like I forgot to put GraphicsEnabler=Yes or PciRoot=1).

On Clover I have tried injecting the kext on both cards with the same result.

I also tried VideoPorts=4.

Any ideas what other things I can try to get the system to boot properly with graphics?

I end up being forced to installing Windows just to test the graphics card...

Is a 16X slot required for a Hackintosh Graphics Card?

Thank you for your time.

Nevermind I got it to work... Had to move the second card to the 8X slot, despite what the motherboards manual claimed.
