Hey folks -
Been using my Hackintosh for about 18 months now and it has been great. I am a video editor that works in Premiere and Avid and I saw that the Microcenter by the house has a GTI 660 Ti for $150 right now. I was thinking of grabbing that and adding it to the system to get a performance boost in Adobe.
I don't play graphically intensive games and really just care about getting a CUDA bump and hopefully having DaVinci Resolve see both cards. The 660 Ti has been great for me in terms of easy OOB compatibility.
Is this a good way to go, or is the bump going to be pretty limited and I am better off with a newer card? The 660 Ti has a good number of CUDA cores, so I was hoping that it would be a nice add - or am I better off waiting a bit, buying a 980 with 4gigs of RAM and dealing with getting that to work?
