Hi,

Id'like to install MacOS (Sierra or ElCapitan) on my Acer Swift 3 (released this summer), but it seems more difficult than I thought.
Before trying and spending time in something which might not work, I would like to have your opinion about the probability of success.

Here are some information about my hardware:

So if you have any advice I would be grateful if you share it with me :)

Thanks !

Am looking at buying a swift 3 as well with the 8gb ram, i5 6200U, 256gb ssd options, i notice the wi-fi card isn't supported, and some reports say it was soldered onto board, but this image i managed to pull from a review site showing the innards, clearly shows a slotted card.. if my eyes do not deceive.

Acer-Swift-3-Wi-fi_zpsr0yp6sng.jpg

so bearing in mind that it is possible to remove the card and replace it, does the rest of the hardware seem ok to turn into a mac OS/ win 10 dual boot machine? as far as i can work out it uses a synaptics trackpad. but this is just going on this one review i read.

Hi,

I success boot with usb key Install MAC OS Sierra. But Three points :
1) No keyboard
2) No pad
3) Don't view the SSD from Disk utility.

I believe that Hot for install Mac OS on Swift 3....

What kind of SSD?
Did you include PS2 kexts?
Is the trackpad PS2 or I2C?

Hi RehabMan,

1) SSD of type M2 2280 SK hynix HFS256G39TND (SC300) SATA3
2) Yes, VoodooPS2Controller.kext but with it panic system. Without this works.
3) I2C

Thanks,

Hi RehabMan,

1) SSD of type M2 2280 SK hynix HFS256G39TND (SC300) SATA3

Don't forget about SATA-100-series-unsupported.kext.

2) Yes, VoodooPS2Controller.kext but with it panic system. Without this works.

Must use correct version (1.8.24 or later).

PS2 drivers for trackpad will not help. You will need I2C drivers.

Well, actually, I was not sure. That is why I answered the questions without to me of asking questions.
Now, with version 1.8.24 keyboard and Pad, works. So PS2, l'andouille. Cool merci.

Don't forget about SATA-100-series-unsupported.kext.
But for the M2 nothing to do?
