Hi All,
Second Mojave 10.14.3 laptop build (the previous being an HP ENVY 17t which worked perfectly). So far everything is almost working fine except for this color banding issue which is driving me crazy. I do a lot of photo editing so the hackintosh isn't usable in this state.
It's an Acer Aspire 7 A717-72G-700J - i7-8750H (UHD630).
- Injected EDID extracted in Windows (using WhateverGreen Devices->Properties) but it did not resolve the issue (EDID was injected properly but I already have bit 20 as 95 so frame buffer depth is known)
- Tried RehabMan's spoof_fix2 build of WhateverGreen to spoof Kaby Lake but that resulted in a black screen during boot (I haven't seen anyone confirm using this method on a Coffee Lake anywhere)
- Used different ig-platform-id and device-id's to no avail (I tried all possible coffee lake ID's and those that booted still suffered from the banding issue)
Appreciate any help. Debug files are attached. Thanks in advance!
