It sounds difficult for several reasons...
1. Space to mount all required hardware
2. The LCD mounts will likely not mate up with the imac outer bezel mounts
3. The DVI cord is quite long on the Cinema Display
4. The requirement for the external cinema power brick
I have three ACDs here but have never taken them apart. Even the least expensive one cost more than a mint condition G5.
