There's no specific point to this post except to say thanks to @RehabMan for everything you do.

Today's project was to get a 3rd party BCM94352Z WiFi + bluetooth card up & running on our Gigabyte GA-H170N.

The recipe:
  • BrcmFirmwareData.kext
  • BrcmPatchRAM2.kext
  • FakePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi.kext
  • FakePCIID.kext
  • USBInjectAll.kext
I'm not sure how many people get around to thanking you but my guess would be < what you deserve. :)

Cheers,

Steve

Note that FakePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi.kext is somewhat deprecated. Replaced by AirportBrcmFixup.kext+Lilu.kext.

And thanks should also go to the-darkvoid, as original author of BrcmPatchRAM and the original idea behind FakePCIID.

Useful to know, I'll swap-out FakePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi.kext this evening.

Something that is curious. With my main hackintosh; GA-H170N motherboard, Broadcom add-in PCI card - I don't need any related kexts at all for Wifi and Bluetooth to work perfectly (High Sierra or Mojave).

But on the second system - identical clover config, identical base kexts, same motherboard & same replacement Broadcom mini-PCI card from the same supplier - the card isn't recognised by High Sierra or Mojave unless I use the .kexts mentioned.

Anyway they both work for whatever reason! :)
