New egg has a combo deal on a z8na-d6c with two e5620 CPUs for $949. This plus some cheap cases and etc can get you a 8 core for around 1500. A good option for someone looking for multi threaded CPU power. (this would be with a $100 graphics card)

Great, but has anyone successfully installed OS X on it?

I have 3 of these z8na-d6c hackintosh builds. I use them in my own OSX renderfarm. I used multibeast and the iboot to get it going. The only thing not working on it is Sleep. However at least one person has been working on that and posting at insanleymac. I think they may have found a solution. there is a pretty long thread on this MB over on insanleymac.

If you into gaming i don't think this would be the build for you. But for multi-cpu intensive application where a GPU doesn't really matter, this seems like a pretty good build. As a render farm it may initially seem a bit silly to go this route, but I really prefer an all OSX environment, and using 8-cores with these low power cpu's I think i am getting the best combo of size /noise /power consumption/ cost. this MB is ATX and takes regular PSU's. so i went with mini ATX cases so i could use 120mm fans and cut down on noise. As i have a small apartment it worked out pretty well. it makes less noise then the fridge on idle. When i job is going its fairly noisy, but not to bad. I was working at a place that just got these BOXX render nodes, a 2x12 core box and it was a screamer!!!
