6870 vs 7870 vs 660 [which is the best?]

Hi, i'm going to buy a graphic card for my hackintosh because i'm now with the hd 4000.
i found 3 interesting options:
ati 6870
ati 7870
gtx 660
i know that 6870 is fully compatible. 7870 is better from performance point of view, but i found that someone is having problem with them. then the gtx 660 is great but someone said me that nvidia aren't as great as ati.
i'm searching for an osx compatible card out of the box. i run a full hd monitor and i'm planning to buy another one.
what is your advice?

I can only answer you from the performance Point of View and tell you, that the 660 is crap. It is very expensive, but also very slow. AMD is the better option, if looking for performance

Here are a few helpful links that might help make your decision easier. Everyone has their own preference between Nvidia and AMD. That's up to you. You said you wanted out of box compatibility and the 7870 is going to take a little bit more work than just pulling it out of the box. I included a link about that though. I also included a link about the 6870 in mountain lion. I'm guessing you're running mountain lion since you have HD 4000. There is a little bit of work that goes into getting the 6870 to work, but since you're already up and booting with HD 4000 it's very simple. Just as simple as moving a kext.

I personally have the 6850, which I bought about a year ago. Works great for me, but I wish I would have gone with 6870 at the time.

well, i think i'll go for the 660, i have a 650m on my retina macbook and it's great, of course it isn't fantastic but wit a resolution o 2880x1800 a card can't make miracles xD.
anyway i found the 660 for 160€ while the 6870 for 150€, i know ati is a little bit better but i'm with mountain lion and i want a fully compatible card.
