hey guys,
have a 6800k on asus x99 stryx gaming mb and a gtx970 running smoothly on 10.11.6 (everything but sleep/wakeup).
now ive been trying to install sierra for couple of weeks without success.
after mbinit: done it reboots .
i also installed sierra in another pc (z170) and moved the hd to the x99 with the same results
im using my working clover config (from 10.11):
/kexts/10.12/FakeSMC.kext/ (always used)
/kexts/10.12/HackrNVMeFamily-10_11_6.kext/ (tried without it)
/kexts/10.12/IntelMausiEthernet.kext/ (tried without it)
/kexts/10.12/NullCPUPowerManagement.kext/ (always used)
/kexts/10.12/realtekALC.kext/ (tried without it)
/kexts/10.12/USB_Injector%20x99.kext/ (tried without it)
/kexts/10.12/VoodooTSCSync.kext/ (i think this one is not needed in 10.12.... tried with/without it)
/drivers64UEFI/FSInject-64.efi
/drivers64UEFI/HFSPlus.efi
/drivers64UEFI/OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi
/drivers64UEFI/OsxFatBinaryDrv-64.efi
my working (10.11) args are npci=0x2000 nvda_drv=1 kext-dev-mode=1
as i dont have nv drivers in sierra yet i change to nvda_drv=0
tried all combinations of:npci=0x3000, dart=0, rootless=0, pci=0.
i have VT-x disabled in my bios (even if it works fine enabled in 10.11), usb3.1 disabled... dont know how to disable usb3.0
this mb doesnt have integrated graphics and i dont have another video card for testing. (in 10.11.6 the 970 works ok even without the drivers.. just renders very slowly.. but its useable so im not sure the issue is related to the nvidia card)
this is what i see just before the reboot:
SOLVED. the problem was the missing 10.12 5060x patch.. also was missing the emuvariable64 (but this one just prevented the 970 to use the nvidia-webdrivers
