5870 with dual monitor - works but doesn't

I'm building my first hackintosh tomorrow and I was wondering how well the 5870 works with snow leopard -64 bit. I purchased this 5870 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... -_-Product

it was on sale so i just had to go for it. just hope i didnt make a mistake. lol

Some have reported adding Graphics Mode key/string pair to /Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist solves this problem:

<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1920x1200x32</string>

Had the same issue, and this worked for me. Alls well now I think.

Im having this issue with Chameleon and a Gigabyte 5870. Monitor just goes black from verbose startup into the desktop. I hit the power on my computer and i goes to sleep? then turn it back on and im in my desktop.

Im pretty new to this... how do i add this to the .plist file? just via textedit? Back it up first presumeably.
i should try the expose workaround... clever!!!
