Hi All,

After updating my brother's computer to 10.9.2, I can no longer get to the desktop except in safe mode.

Previously, I was able to get full recognition and no problems with GraphicsEnabler=No, but now, I can only boot with -x in 10.9.2 when my internal graphics are fully enabled. In system profiler, the video card shows as the correct model. When booting like normal, it boots, but the screens go blank. In looking at -v, the Nvidia driver loads and registers fine, it just does not initialize the monitors and instead puts them to sleep.

Any ideas?

So do you get the "spinning wheel of death" (no apple logo, but a progress spinner that gets bolder and bolder)?

If so then I get the same issue, which can be temporally worked around by disconnecting the monitor during boot and reconnecting it last thing. It's not a permanent fix though.

No you need to disconnect it early in the boot and reconnect when it's booted. There are still issues when logging out, however.
