So i heard some rumblings that it is not as easy to install Lion on a hard drive that has 4k sectors. So i was wondering how to tell if a hard drive that i buy will have this 4k sector format or not. I know with western digital they mark their drives as Advanced Format drives but im looking at this Seagate hard drive but it tells me nothing. So will this hard drive work?

Thanks in advance!

Correct if i am wrong, but I am pretty sure your boot drive cannot be above 1TB in size

I plan to partition it into 2, 1 Tb partitions. One for windows, other mac.

I am not an expert by any means so I'm not sure if this will work or not. But I do know that it won't work install on a drive larger than 1TB. I am new to this whole scene as well, but I did see this quite a few times lurking through threads for the past month and a half

Well in this scary looking website they say "NOTE: The bootloader can only boot from a disk or partition of 1 TB or less. Partition larger drives." so I'm hopping that this information is correct.
