4k @ 60hz with adapters?

Anyone test out the club 3d or acctell? adapters that go from display port to HDMI 2.0?
I still can't seem to get 4k @ 60hz and i have tried to unlock the pixel clock patch but sadly i cannot figure out how to boot to recovery.

Anyways anybody have any luck?

MSI GTX 970
Core i7 4790k
40" lg ub8000 1920 x 1080
28" AOC (flipped) running 4k @ 60hz

All works quite charming at 4k running windows, a real nice way to work.

Make sure you don't have the Recovery HD partition hidden and you will need to boot with nv_disable=1 when booting to the recovery partition because the Nvidia Web drivers won't be present.

Yah I tried, it just stalls even after the boot code nv_disable=1
I just dummied down to Yosemite and it seemed the patch went thru but still no luck.
How can I tell if it worked anyways?

I just don't get why it works stunningly well in windows, and I can't seem to get 60hz on the lgub800 in OS X?

Even if I do get one of those adapters will I even be able to scale the text like I can with the 28" AOC.
I might be stuck squinting at 3840 x 2160.

Maybe I'm just asking for the impossible.

I'm at about 15 minutes so far. Grey screen with colourful spin wheel.

Thats a bit too long, lol. Boot with -v into recovery mode and you might be able to see where it is freezing up.

My Club 3d Adapter arrives tomorrow. Lets see if That works with this LgUB8000 4k Display
Hopefully I don't have to do any pixel unlock etc etc.
