Updated from AppStore.

Cannot boot anymore, also with -x.
-s works and I get on the shell.

The Probook just shut down itself after trying to boot unsuccessfully.

Any other experiences similar problem?
Any hint for fixing this issue by deleting some kext under -s mode?

Thanks in advance for your support.

During the same session, I also installed a free app from AppStore.
And it was 1st time ever I install something from Apple AppStore.

Any guess which one is causing the boot to fail?

I looked at the package you linked above. It doesn't install anything into /S/L/E. So it is not a kext problem.

You should boot -v to provide more information.

I got some "missing directory" or "missing thread" error.
Another thing I did was adding lots of sources to Address Book...

I see Address Book got lots of errors too.

Boot with "-v" and take a photo. Then post it. Maybe we'll see something that can help. But vague descriptions of errors will not help.

THat's what I got if I do a fsck -fy on single user mode.

Something is screwed up.

Disk corruption. I think you're looking at a fresh install.

I've just run into a similar problem with the airport utility 6.2 update. When I open in terminal I'm getting problems that end with "CPU halted" "Airport down on. 8 reasons," Here's a pic:photo.JPG

It looks like my boot SSD's been corrupted, question is how do I put disk warrior on the case? I've got another macbook pro to run it from... much appreciated!
