My original motherboard latch release tray gets worse every time I open the case of this machine, so I decided to 3D print a replacement alternative. I did the reverse spring mod so that I would not need the latching functionality from the old tray. I know I don't need something between the motherboard and sheet metal anymore, but I feel better about having something there. Having any art is pointless, since it will be hidden by the motherboard, but it was fun to add a design, because I'm new to printing. It's 3mm thick, the art is 1.5mm deep, it's 2 pieces and is held in place by the same 4 screws that held the old tray down. It was very difficult getting those in the right spots but digital calipers go a long way. The motherboard standoffs still screw to the sheet metal.
