I just want to confirm that 30" WQXGA(2560x1600) Display connected to HD6870 via DisplayPort does work or not.
Anybody please reply.
My OSX86 is Mountain Lion.

That html info is for supported env, like Win7.
OSX86 is not.
And so, I want to confirm it before I buy NEC's 30" display.

You're right, obviously OSX is so crippled that it can't operate at a resolution beyond 1920x1200

And no amount of basic research.Could possibly have gotten you this information.

I mean seriously, apple came out with the 30" Cinema display with a 2560x1600 resolution EIGHT YEARS AGO and you're wondering if a current graphics card can handle that resolution? Current cards can drive multiple monitors at that resolution, never mind one.

Those were the hardware specs for the card. The OS has nothing to do with that.
 
So, are there anybody who is using 30" WQXGA monitor on OSX86 ML?
