Hi guys. As you probably already know, High Sierra has changed the 32-bit color depth to 24-bit. It really annoys me because the picture/color quality is worse than previous versions of macOS and it's the only reason I haven't updated to HS. So, is there a patch/hack to change it to 32-bit?

Probably is EDID issue.

But I've seen many real MacBooks having the same "issue". Let's hope Apple didn't change it. I doubt they did.

In my case, patching EDID for MacBook Air display creates this color depth issue. Using stock edid gives me the same color as it used to be on OS X 10.10 and above.

So yeah, it is related to EDID. But “what” in “EDID” IDK.
