2009 Macbook having video issues

I have a 2009 Macbook which recently had the screen start to freeze and then turn gradually white. When I moved the screen back and forth it will come back but as soon as I let go it freezes again and looks "grainy."

Is my video card going out or is the connection getting loose and simply needs adjusting?

How much do you think the Mac store will charge me to fix this problem or would I be better off to just buy a new laptop?

Hey buddy,

I'm getting the same exact problem with my laptop too. Same year and model. Macbook pro 2009. From what I understand it is indeed directly related to the logic board. That's a $900 repair! and the warranty program has ended. It is clearly a factory defect and has nothing to do with user error.
