16GB RAM not working on 10.6.8 ?

Hi all

here is my spec:

Z68X-UD4-B3
I7 2600K
ATI HD 4890
G SKILL RIPJAW 1600 4X4GB

I just successfully upgraded to 10.6.8 after fresh 10.6 installation(the entire process was done through IBOOT 3.1.1)

and installed multibeast 3.7.3, bridgehelper, and DSDT

(sleep not working, and has to enter -x every time I boot)

now there seems a problem

when I was trying to put my other 3 pieces of 4gb ram back on the MB for a total of 16gb

I got this message when I boot

Panic (CPU 0 CALLER 0X27CC0F) PMAP_STEAL_MEMORY

and this

BSD process name corresponding to current thread: unkown

and the screen continuesly dim until its completely black (is that a VGA problem? but why it bothers only when I put my RAM back ? )

Interesting, first off with the new iboot and multibeast, supposedly you dont need bridgehelper anymore. Try a new install with the latest iboot and dont use bridgehelper.

The latest iboot has the 10.8.6 kernel that supports SB native.
