After slowly selling of 2 of my other builds (and a few organs too), I was able to come up with enough to get a new 15" rMBP.

So far I have no complaints. It's definitely a pretty incredible laptop (with a sexy screen). It's light enough to commute to/from the office with as well. I originally bought it with 256gb ssd but very quickly approached the limit after installing bootcamp to try out the new Assassins creed 3 (which runs awesome btw). So I returned it and upgraded to the 768gb ssd and went with 16gb of memory instead of 8. No Regrets so far. My only complaint is that it makes my external non-retina displays look like crap lol.

I ran geekbench when I got it and it did surprisingly well for a laptop too:12,294.

Anyway, just wanted to share.

I've had the base model RMBP 15 for a week. A very nice upgrade from a 4 year old Dell Core 2 Duo.

Retina Display is totally from another league !
simply amazing but the price tag is the killer :(
enjoy...

Beautiful machine! Enjoy in good health. How is the operating temps under full load?? I have had several 17" models and they tend to run quite hot.
