10.8.4 - Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H - Sound problem after update.

I have updated my hack from 10.8.3 to 10.8.4 by software updater default mac os tool. All works fine except sound. I guess i just need to install some kext, or install smth from Multibeast, but can u please help how exactly can i fix it? Thanks

I tried to install Realtek - Without DSDT - ALC898. No results

hi i had the sameproblem on intel Z77 board i have reinstalled kext using multibeast

after sloving sound works.

so try kext utility to rebuilt caches and restore premissions in kext folder

Use disk utility to fix permissions and install audio again. I did this update on two identical machines but I had to install audio twice and fix permissions(might not be needed) on one of them

I've tried reinstalling ALC898 and fixing permissions multiple times. I also removed the AppleHDA kext and reinstalled it with MultiBeast. No audio whatsoever. Any advice?

Setup: Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H, 10.8.4 upgraded from 10.8.2 via combo update.

What do you see in System Preferences/ Sound? If no outputs are listed, then go to System Information/ Audio to see if the hardware is recognized.

If you see your outputs then go back to System Preferences to see if they showed up. Sometimes, the system needs to be reminded of what its hardware is.

No outputs in preferences. Just AirPlay. Here's a screenshot of the Audio in System Info. Both IntelHDAs show the same.
