Hey all.

Just ran the auto update on accident this morning.
Came back to my computer and am getting nothing on my display. Just a black screen.

Not even really sure where to start.
Fans and lights all running. Bluetooth keyboard isn't connecting from what I can tell...at least I'm not getting any audio response when I blindly type my password in or adjust volume.

Running i7 3930k - GTX 660Ti - GA-X79-UD5

Any help at all is appreciated!

do you have your drive cloned at any point before the update?

That probably would have been the smart thing to do right?

I did have ML running on its own separate SSD, other drives used for storage.
Any way to avoid that step though? I'd have to have to go through the pain of reinstalling ML :(

Silly mistake running the update.

Update -

Display functions when I boot with MultiBeast. Gotta find a keyboard with usb again...bluetooth doesn't help in this situation :)
I'll post photos as soon as I can...I'm beginning to hope :)

Best thing I can recommend, from personal experience, is to boot into safe mode, assuming you have the Chimera Bootloader installed. Do you know how to activate the Chimera bypass area (go into additional options then hit the tab key with your main ML drive highlighted)? You'll need to supply the -x command line syntax and possibly others to get back to your OS. Then, from there, you'll likely need to re-run the MultiBeast utility from the ground up, as if you have a new system. I'm only speaking from personal experience here as I am helping a friend who accidentally updated to 10.8.3. I got him back up and running this way.

In my case, I had to issue this to get in:

-x npci=0x3000 pcirootuid=0 graphicsenabler=no

Then, re-ran MultiBeast and I was back in no time. Now, just gotta get audio reloaded!

Update -

I was able to boot using -x npci=0x3000 PCIRootUID=0 GraphicsEnabler=0
Tried running MultiBeast to reinstall drivers and thought I had it all done. Restarted computer and now I'm stuck here.

This is booting with npci-0x3000 PCIRootUID=0 GraphicsEnabler=0

If I boot with -x at all I get stuck at the HDAEnabler 03/07/2009 line.

Can anyone help?

Anyone?
I'm just trying to get this thing to boot just once so I can go from there!

Looks like you need to remove the HDAEnabler stuff.
Then re-install audio drivers from Multibeast...

How can I do that if I can't get it to boot?
Is there a way?

If it were me I'd opt for a reinstall of the OS from my unibeast usb stick. Yes, a PITA but it'd be worth getting back to a known good state.
