Hey guys.. I had finally put together my system back in Dec, the past couple of months have been great.. except... developed a hiccup with dvd drive.. occasionally just opens drawer.. after a while, goes back in??: hmmm, next one: shut down system.. after 5 sec, restarts itself.. even tho I pressed shutdown...??? hmmm

Now apple update.. holy crap, just agreed without thinking & whoops!!! there goes my audio... as well as it wont reconize any camera or vidcam when using imovie or fcpx... only in iphoto.. (well of all things??...) so heres the question, I hear that if i checked myorg.chameleon.Boot.plist and/or smbios.plist, I can adjust like it was before or do ya think its better to wipe the drives clean & do a complete reinstall & hopefully I will remember to select NOT to do any auto updates.. need your best advice gang and need it fast..

I enclosed the 2 pics.. but whatever ya need to see just ask & ill post.. thank you so much for putting up with us newies... or was it dweebs???

Good Morning folks! ok, no responses yet.. ?? Im sure this one was just dumb on my part to just push accept every time apple sends me an update!! What a putz, I will then just do a complete wipe & reinstall of my system as it was back in Dec of this past year.. I will report my findings but as I have read so far in the forum, its best not to do ANY updates without consulting this here! Thanx again guys!

After each software update you need to re-enable Audio through the same MultiBeast settings you checked last time, for the camera items I'm not sure!
