So I managed to get Unibeast to 10.7.4 installed onto an ASRock Fatality Gen3 Professional, kinda. The install process was finicky but PCIRootUID=0 got me through.
Anyway, now I'm doing the first-time boot, but it dumps me at the white screen with mouse cursor. After a minute or two that becomes a solid blue screen.
I tried booting with PCIRootUID=0 -v -x, and where I ultimately end up is this:
Pthread support ABORTS when sync kernel primitives misused
rooting via boot-uuid from /chosen: [bunch of garble here]
From path: "uuid", Waiting on <dict ID="0"><key>IOProviderClass</key>[lots more garble here]
Still waiting for Root Device
Still waiting for Root Device
Still waiting for Root Device
I double checked SMART, it is enabled. AHCI also enabled.
Tried PCIRootUID=0 (that's what I needed to use to install), as well as PCIRootUID=1
Tried GraphicsEnabler=No
Tried -x and -v
Tried changing USB ports.
Tried various combinations of the above.
All no joy.
The unit is running 4GB of DDR3, an i7-2600k, and an NVidia Quadro 2000.
Suggestions on what to try from here would be welcomed.
