ive been reading some rumors that snow leopard 10.6.9 may be coming. can anyone verify this at all? it makes sense since alot of us cannot even get lion to install.

No idea. There was a rumor about it sometime ago, but it seemed to have died down and nothing about a possible 10.6.9 has been heard of since.
