Hi @ all:

that´s my first post and I have already build my Hackintosh.

0) boot with iboot 3.5
1) I installed the 10.6.3 MacOSX without reboot I used Multibeast 3.5 with easybeast and audio driver) after restart audio internet etc. worked fine instead of proper graphic resolution
2) then I installed a combo-update to 10.6.7
3) the result after restart is endless loading with the mac sign....
4) I tried pciroot=1
I tried -x
I tried single user

I do not have a clue any more! can someone help me to fix it???

OK -GOOD NEWS

I used the experimental chameleon boot loader with Kabyl and pcirootfix and i got in.

Now the question, can i use the new bootloader chimera and the ati(native) driver too or should i let it be like that.

Thanks for any kind of feedback

Ok there are only a few "small problems" left.

• sleepmode is not working it just goes off and it is not possible to get it back on track.

• restart causes sometimes very slow loading OSX and USB (mouse keybaord) are not working (no power)

Do you guys have any suggestions?

Perhaps the power supply (Sharkoon 480W) is not powerful enough?

I do not have a clue anymore and my nerves are thin. ;)

Nice weekend to everybody. :headbang:

Suggest you download the edited DSDT for your motherboard/BIOS combination and use UserDSDT rather than EasyBeast.

I used the DSDT and ran Multibeast again. But the same results:

• sleepmodus -> Hackintosh switches off / pushing escape -> it makes a fresh boot
• restart and sometimes start -> no USB power in mouse & keyboard
• restart and sometimes start -> the loading time is very long

I appreciate any educates guesses and helpful ideas.

Everyone a nice weekend!

I did what you told me to do. Thank you for your hints. But it stays the same as mentioned in my quote! :(

If I am reading this right, you are saying you installed OS X, then immediately ran MultiBeast prior to rebooting.

Is that correct?

I first installed 10.6.3 MacOSX and ran Multibeast. After Multibeast was installed successfully I rebooted the machine.

That was what I had to do. Or do you think this could cause any problem?

I don't know if it causes any problems, it just sounds a little odd. Typically you install OS X then reboot with the iBoot disc, complete the install (register, setup user, Welcome to OS X). Then you either run a combo update or run MultiBeast. That's probably what you did, but the way it was presented sounds odd (to me).

Post the contents of your /Extra/Extensions folder.

Also, post the contents of your /Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist
