My sisters hubby ran the software update on the machine I had build for my nephew. Now I get a kernel panic when trying to boot.

It was running just fine with 10.6.4, but I assume he updated to 10.6.6.

Do I have to reinstall?
I used the dual boot tutorial on this site, so I can still access windows 7.

Don't guarantee it will work, but you might try this: Use iBoot to get you to the desktop - boot with -x flag if you have to. Then run MultiBeast and select system tools and the chameleon ATI bootloader. Hit continue and when MultiBeast gets done reboot. Without a hardware list it's hard to determine if anything else is needed.

Oh, its a core2duo with an intel mobo and nvidia 8600gt.

Everything was working fine.

I tried to boot woth iboot which loads fine, when I select snow leapord from my options (SL or windows 7), it goes into a kernel panic.

Am I supposed to take out iboot and throw the SL disk in there?

What is -x, how do you boot into safe mode. I tried holding down the control key and that did nothing.

Thanks.
