I got my high sierra upgraded to mojave successfully and the nvme driver works well.
But when I try to upgrade it to 10.14.1 or fresh install to a new partition, after I rebooted to the installer it got panic like this:

void AppleNVMeRequestTimer::printPending()::251:QID=1 Deadline=55729465414 DW0=001B0002 DW10=000A4000 DW11=00000000 DW12=0000000B DW13=00000000 DW14=00000000 DW15=00000000

By the way, my nvme disk is samsung PM961 1T,and I installed macOS in a Sandisk SATA SSD. And the platform is powered by coffee lake (i7 8700+ROG Strix B360-F gaming)

you say NVMe driver, you still using 3rd party one, cause it's not needed, NVMe is supported natively now and the 3rd party one probably not compatible with 10.14.1

Oh I means the native kext.
I have never modified any block about nvme. No dsdt and kext patch have been used.
And the pm961 works well in 10.13.x.
But it crashed in 10.14.1 and recoveryHD
