The guide works perfectly in 10.13.6, it is a bit confusing to look for the first digits. First, you have to search in DPCI which framebuffer uses the video card. Second, create your custom framebuffer with the video output you are using. Third, patch the original with the new one.

Recently I updated to 10.13.6 and the custom framebuffer HD7850 didn't worked. Now it makes a static black screen. I think that Apple changed the framebuffer because 10.13.5 worked perfectly. How can i solve this problem? Thank you!

Problem solved, presonus firebox works perfectly well with firewire card with TI chip, no audio clip, sound perfect, as in my old MAC!! I'm really surprised the audio performance on this hardware configuration, surprising. Thanks for the help really good forum.
