    So why do you need a 290 or even a 290x? The haswell iGPU is more than enough for 2 HD office monitors ;)

    I got my R9 270X couple of days ago (it's the Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X WindForce 3X OC, 2GB GDDR5). Finally got the time to get it in my build.... And I have to say I'm really impressed....I just plugged it in the PCI-E Slot (and of course to the PSU), connected via DVI, booted and worked...

    That's really bad news/luck :( Do you have an idea why the board burned? Normally it shouldn't. ^^ Considering I want to put the card on a very similar board I better wait for it and don't risk my hardware :/

    So, has anyone tested the R9 270X in 10.8.5 (or even better on mavericks)? Or should I just stick with the (originally planned) 7870 and don't risk anything?
