Just an update. Did a little OCing on it by simply boosting the Turbo speed state to 4.5GHz, and it easily exceeded 20K on Geekbench:
Single: 5364
Multi: 20750
Still runs cool and quiet, VCore remains close to baseline standard (went from 1.296V → 1.328V). There's probably a lot more...
Same here. Getting through the initial install is easy, and can be accomplished just like any other Hackintosh on previous chipsets once IOAPIC 24-119 is disabled in BIOS (or circumvented with the Pike patch).
I have this board up and running fine with OS X 10.11.2 (via Clover UEFI v3330).
Audio: Works using toleda's latest Skylake-compatible patches (ty toleda). A minor issue is that sound seems to shut off in OSX after ~10 seconds of inactivity, and upon reactivation the 1st initial bit of...
In FakeSMC.kext/Contents/Info.plist, remove REV, RVBF, RVUF from IOKitPersonalities→Configuration→Clover. End result should be like so:
AFAIK, 2.15f7 is the latest SMC Version for iMac14,2.
Mine operates in silent mode and it's never seemed to have a problem. Though the connector for this fan is a 3-pin header, which might make a difference.

I use Clover UEFI with mine and it works swimmingly.
Not much difference overall compared to Chameleon, other than that it shaves a few seconds off my boot time and can be set to load my XMP profiles so they're recognized at the OS level.
I explicitly wanted a case without an optical drive slot, and chose the Fractal Node 304 as it was one of the few without it. It's an excellent case—sturdy, quiet, cool, and aesthetically pleasing. Would def. recommend.

Same issue here. Only connecting it to DVI doesn't resolve the problem.
I had run into this before when I first built my computer, and was able to resolve it by adding IntelAzulFB=10 to the Chamelon boot.plist settings. But that no longer works.
Article: OS X 10.9.2 Update
Updated to 10.9.2.
Monitor goes black after the Apple logo on bootup.
Deleting 'IntelAzulFB=10' from org.chameleon.Boot.plist enabled me to use my system now, but the integrated graphics are no longer recognized and I'm getting bad screen flicker in Safari...
Confirming that here. I patched a v2.10G BIOS using the method you described—worked without a hitch.
BTW for those looking to expedite bootdisk creation, Rufus is a good tool. With it you can create a bootable DOS USB in seconds w/o any additional downloads necessary.
I think it's just a...
Awesome! Can't wait for the details.
Had the same issue you mentioned earlier trying to apply the normal PMPatched 2.10G BIOS—something about a security check blah blah.
Right on. Been thinking of getting a 650 or 660 Ti Boost myself. :) Saw a 660 Ti Boost on craigslist recently for $120 and still kicking myself for not getting it. :(
Ahh. I wonder which speeds they're actually running @ in OSX—if any different. It seems to me if the UEFI setup says 1866, it...
Hi WonkeyDonkey:
I was able to fix my own black screen issue w/ integrated gfx by hooking up the display via the mbd's HDMI port. You'll need that IntelAzulFB=10 key/value pair in the chameleon bootloader settings as well (though I believe Chimera does this automatically).
Also got both my...
Update:
• Apparently OSX10.9 or this mbd (or some combo thereof) strongly dislikes DVI-connected displays; I figured this out on a whim by hooking my computer up to a TV via HDMI—magically, it worked. So I bought a DVI → HDMI adapter and viola, graphical problems resolved (Note: This also...
