I just finished my new El Capitan build, using the mac mini deluxe guide on this site. Instillation went amazingly smooth, but now i cant get any video to play. itunes or non itunes video(videos from dvds). This was with no graphics card at all, just using the integrated graphics on the mother...

Why are all the suggested motherboards on here of the z97 chipset? What about gigabyte's GA-Z170X-GAMING G1? And with this modern of a motherboard do i still need a graphics card? Also, if i use a graphics card, will the thunderbolt ports on the motherboard still work?

If i use a Gigabyte Intel Z77 Dual Thunderbolt ATX Motherboard with BT4.0/Wi-Fi (GA-Z77X-UP5-TH) motherboard, and a graphics card, do i still get the thunderbolt benefit of the motherboard?
