MSI MPG Z390I GAMING EDGE AC - Installation guide

I have not configured anything special, no XMP=No in clover (and also in BIOS). But I configured the UEFI mode!

MSI MPG Z390I GAMING EDGE AC - Installation guide

Hi, can you upload you zipped EFI folder? I don't think your SSD is dead, it's probably just a kext-related problem. There might be a patch for that, but unfortunately I don't have any experience with NVME SSDs. Also please make a photo/screenshot of the kernel output during boot (or log it...

    El Capitan on Intel DH77DF

Hi guys, I was struggling for quite some time now with getting OSX 10.11 to work properly on my Intel DH77DF. My Setup: * Core i7 * 16GB RAM * 750 Hybrid SSD * AMD Radeon HD6570 I have been using this setup since 2012 or so. And it still is an awesome machine. But since El Capitan I...

    Intel DH77DF Motherboard

I meant just take a picture of the verbose output of the kernel while booting. What exactly happens after you selected OSX to boot from clover? You get a black screen? Is there some text output?

    Intel DH77DF Motherboard

Please post the kernel boot log output. I guess there is a problem with some of the kexts. Do you boot with the NoKexts option? Another problem could be that clover cannot load the kernel. In that case you have to experiment with the lowmemory or aptio driver (remove them)...

    Intel DH77DF Motherboard

I know, it's very hard to get i running, but once it runs it's much better then chimera/chameleon. Unfortunately the documentation of clover isn't the best ... That's what I did 1) format you EFI partition or any other small boot partition in fat32. 2) then install clover on that...

    Intel DH77DF Motherboard

Well my system runs fine now, except for sleep and usb 3. I use clover boot and this solved many problems. Regarding sleep: I simply gave up on this issue. Shutdown is working for me too. Do you use clover boot? @giacomoleopardo: I will see if I manage to update the bios with dpcimanager...

    Intel DH77DF Motherboard

In the meantime nothing really changed. Unfortunately sleep still doesn't work! Actually I think sleep works, but wakeup hangs. So no, wakeup with bluetooth or WOL most likely won't work. But I think this all could be fixed by creating a better DSDT. But I'm to inexperienced with that :-\...

    Intel DH77DF Motherboard

I'm now using Clover to boot OSX, Linux and Windows in uefi + legacy mode. I updated to the new bios version 1.0.8 (DSDT dump is attached). What works: 1) HDMI sound output! 2) 2.1 sound, full resolution with both graphics card (radeon hd6570, intel hd4000, also side by side) What...

    Intel DH77DF Motherboard

tomorrow I will try to use the intel flash tool, maybe this works. Also there is another issue: I dd'd an iso to usb and during that process the system went to sleep but crashed during shutdown. This seems to be connected to autosleep. Any ideas how to solve that? And how do I get my usb...

    Intel DH77DF Motherboard

I'm using the patched Appleintelpowermanagement for 10.7.4 ivy bridge from Multibeast 4.6.1. That seems to be the only one that is working. At least with my chameleon config and the dsdt. Attached you'll also find my bios settings. Maybe there is the problem. Yeah my machine also booted...

    Intel DH77DF Motherboard

I installed the new dsdt and now even wake up seems to work somehow. At least not just the fans but also there seems to be some disk activity. But the screens stay black. This is what my system.log shows: Feb 12 13:51:20 localhost kernel[0]: Previous Sleep Cause: 5 Feb 12 13:58:42...

    Intel DH77DF Motherboard

I tried this dsdt in my current system and nothing changed so far. On a newly installed 10.8.2 (with unibeast) with installed system definition for mac mini 5,1 (but no further modifications) it doesn't work. AICPM panics. I didn't try to install chimera, because I don't want to mess up...

    Intel DH77DF Motherboard

I reinstalled 10.8.2 from my unibeast usb stick but get a KP on boot. AICPM.kext crashes. During boot I get a message that a custom dsdt has been loaded ... this seems strange, because I didn't install any custom hack. Though I'm booting off of my internal hdd's chameleon. Does it take the...

Attached you'll find my ioreg file created with the v10.6.3 (as version 3 can't reopen files). I don't have time to reinstall OS X this weekend, but I'll do this next week ;-) In the meantime I'll try your dsdt.aml. And btw, thanks for your help. I appreciate that!

    Intel DH77DF Motherboard

I'll try tomorrow to use the original AICPM.kext and report back here. My current DSDT.aml is attached. Would be cool if you could improve it a bit ;-) This board is really great - especially combined with an i7 3,09 GHz and 16 GB of RAM and a Radeon HD 6570 ;-) Unfortunately I don't have a...

    Intel DH77DF Motherboard

Yes! I had flashed the unpatched 1.0.7. before, did change some BIOS settings and then flashed the patched one with the F7 flash utility from a usb stick. The machine rebooted 3 times and then 10.8.2 booted much faster. I guess before the update it booted so slow because the system had to...
