    Will It, Won't It — 7950X & Asus X670E-F gaming Wifi

I was thinking a 670, but basically anything that works without too much headache. https://forum.amd-osx.com/threads/gigabyte-x670-a-possible-good-choice-for-a-hack.3331/

    [UPGRADED] ASUS Prime B550M-A AC — Ryzen 7 5700X — Radeon RX 6700XT

Cool build. Seems Tonymac allows AMD CPU builds now? Last time I tried to post I was banned for even mentioning my AMD build. Hence I haven't been here in years but wanted to see if Tonymac was still militantly against AMD hacks. Take care folks.

macOS Sierra PB: Need testers for new AMD Radeon drivers!

It's a bit late for them. I have a maxed 5k imac already.. but I prefer my hack if I'm honest. Have it setup just how I like.. Probably sell the 5k soon.. I know the imac pro is supposed to have improved cooling.. but I like a **completely** silent system when under load. No fans above 600rpm...

macOS Sierra PB: Need testers for new AMD Radeon drivers!

Well you would get an 8-10-12 or 16 core and disable hyper threading in bios. Personally I would like a 16 core if it clocks to the same speed as the 8 core Ryzens. As it is effectively 2 cpus welded together.. then there is a good chance it will. Leaves a lot of head room to have multiple apps...

macOS Sierra PB: Need testers for new AMD Radeon drivers!

I currently have my 480 at 1375 undervolted. These 580 don't seem particularly interesting to me. Hopefully vega will show actual decent gains. If it can perform like a 1080 then it should be a monster card in fcpx.

Final Cut Pro X FCPX Graphic Card performance

Single rx480.. 23 seconds with the same settings of the previously posted benchmark.

Final Cut Pro X FCPX Graphic Card performance

Yeh if FCPX is a priority Nvidia isn't the way to go, considering my relatively low powered RX480 beats a 1080ti by a few seconds. Perhaps performance is different in premiere and the 1080ti performs better, but FCPX in terms of performance still completely outclasses premiere.

Yes that's what I did. I might try changing the ID to EF in the bios to see if I don't need to inject the device id in clover any longer.

I can't remember what clover build I was using, but when I unchecked 'inject ati' acceleration stopped working. So I just keep it checked now. Also with this method, you get a grey rather than black boot screen. I don't mind it, but it would be good to know how to get it black if anyone knows...

macOS Sierra PB: Need testers for new AMD Radeon drivers!

This is what your clover settings should look like. I'm not really sure why people edit the kexts rather than just inject the card id. That way after updates you don't need to keep editing kexts etc. I've been using this method for a while now, at least from 12.3 to 12.5 beta 1. I don't duel...

I don't edit any of the kexts. Just add the EF definition in clover injection, and set Baladi as the frame buffer. Nothing else is needed. You can unlock the extra CU's if you want, but it made no difference in FCPX so I don't bother.

You need to specify the frame buffer Baladi in clover.

For folks that want good audio through a 3.5mm jack. I use the below DAC. It doesn't look like much, but it's freaking amazing and I don't just mean for the cost. It made my Kanto YU2 speakers sound WAY WAY better. I use it in combination with the USB isolator adaptor also, which completely...

If I could, I'd happily build a Ryzen Hack. I really resent every penny I give to Intel. The only disappointment really was gaming and zero overclock headroom. I don't game but that should improve once Microsoft release the SMT fix.

Prevent some sound devices from showing Up.

Does anyone know how I can prevent some of these USB sound devices from showing up. I only really need the NTG-3 and shure to show. The rest are just clutter.

I think I remember other users posting that they couldn't get the MSI 480's acceleration to work. However they 470's etc did work.
