Not really an expert on the subject, as you can see from my posts in this thread ;), but when reading up on the board in general I found several mentions that the installation for some people only works with a single memory module installed. Didn't have to do that for my setup, but maybe it is...

You're officially my hero now! :D It worked, tried the HDMI-HDMI cable, with the lower HDMI port the system wouldn't boot at all but with the upper one, it now boots just perfect, no more white noise and in about 10s. Thank you so much!

Thank you again for you trying to help, much appreciated! Unfortunately, it didn't change with those lines added. Does it matter, where in the file those lines are added? I put them where I thought it would be logical for them to be. Right now, the file looks like this: <dict>...

Still the same, I always get the white noise after some seconds. I can see from the HDD-LED that the PC is still doing something after that, but the white noise stays. What's even more odd and I don't understand at all: when I first tried to install without anything set, the PC would just freeze...

Hi wildwillow, thanks for your reply! I'm using the onboard graphics (HD4600) and have it connected to a Samsung 24" Full-HD LCD monitor. I tried using both HDMI ports as well as the DVI port with a working HDMI cable and a DVI->HDMI cable, but it's always the same. I'll try reinstalling...

Well, I thought for my very first Hackintosh I'd use your "Golden Build" recommendations, as they are mentioned to be nearly "hassle-free". Unfortunately, for me, they aren't, like, at all. I got the H87N-WIFI, an Intel Core i3-4330 and 8GB memory, no graphics card. I wanted to install...
