Mavericks: HDMI Audio - AppleHDA [Guide]

Many thanks for your time. I'm at work and cannot verify yet, but I assume this should work. Sorry for the bother - I thought HD5000 should follow the HD4600 procedure, although it doesn't look like so. The guide was clear already. I really appreciate your work, please let us know if you take...

Newbie - No HDMI Audio - Intel HD 4600

This guide is very comprehensive, which means there are quite a part of the instructions are not for you - you need to know what you have and which step you need to follow. Maybe I can help you a bit if you can give me some details of your hardware.

Install Mountain Lion on Acer S7-391 (My ongoing attempt)

Thank you for your comment. Sadly, the AR5BWB222 chip is soldered on the mother board and cannot be replaced. Is there any work-around except for using a USB wifi?

Sorry for my late reply... I have been away from this forum for a couple of weeks. To answer your question: No you CANNOT uninstall that kext after OS X 10.9 installation. You can either put it into your chameleon bootloader kexts folder, OR put it into System\Library\Extensions. (Because this...

HD4000 back to brightest after reboot, no hotkey brightness control

Is the nvram supposed to be saved on a harddrive? It might be that I didn't specify a correct saving location for the nvram? The harddrive configuration is really messed up on my laptop: it has two SSDs on one chip, I disabled the RAID0 configuration and used separate harddrives for windows and...

HD4000 back to brightest after reboot, no hotkey brightness control

I tried to read the nvram before and after changing backlight. I found after reboot, the variable "backlight-level" is cleared every time (doesn't exist after boot) When I change backlight, this variable appeared, and can be changed when I change the backlight. here is what my nvram looks like...

HD4000 back to brightest after reboot, no hotkey brightness control

Sorry for asking you spending time verifying the patch. It must be my mistake when using the patch. Yes I tried blinkscreen. (in ProBook Installer 6.1.10) It didn't do the job. NVRAM still seemed not working on storing brightness settings (I had rebooted twice) I had even tried...

HD4000 back to brightest after reboot, no hotkey brightness control

Here is my dsdt.aml Could you take a look whether I'm doing the HD4000 part right? The patch just didn't work for me. I see what you mean.. Thanks. But it seems not my case. my brightness adjustment works without a sleep/wake cycle. My problem is, the NVRAM doesn't restore my brightness...

HD4000 back to brightest after reboot, no hotkey brightness control

Hi, RehabMan (I suppose you ROCK enough to answer me, so ...) I ran into a quite interesting issue here on my Acer S7-391: I can adjust screen brightness in "system preferences" pannel,(which gives me a satisfying brightness range:0%, then ~40% to 100%) and the brightness setting could remain...
