[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

    Hi @Leesureone , is it safe to update to 13.2.1 from 13.0.1 using your NUC8EFI8.4 or NUC8EFI8.5? I'm running a NUC8i7BEH.

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

I am using monterey. Is the link you provided a github link? I got a 404 when I tried it. It may take me a while before I can try any of these options you mentioned, but I'll give it a try when I get a chance. I didn't try Hackintool or The Port Mapping tool before. Are those still options...

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Hi @Leesureone , I finally had some time to give this a try but still having issues. I tried going through the Quick Start steps but I'm stuck on step 5 & 6. At step 5, two of the usb ports are not being detected. These missing ports are on the internal header of a NUC8i7BEH. At step 6, I'm...

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Hi @Leesureone, is this guide still the way to go to get the internal USB headers to work? I installed a 2 port USB lid but none of the ports are working. I just want to make sure I'm following the right thing and don't break anything from the NUC8i7OC7.6EFI you provided on pg 90...

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Hey Thanks. I am using the OC 7.6 from 89 and it is working well for me with bluetooth and wifi. I've been experiencing sound issues but not sure why (sound issue exists with 7.4 too). I'll give the update a try.

Anyone updated to Monterey 12.1? I would like to know if it's safe or if there are any issues with NUC8i7BEH.

Hey @Leesureone, Just wanted to give an update on this. I swap out the Samsung 970 EVO NVMe with a Western Digital Black SN750. Now it boots much faster. Thanks Again

Thanks. I was able to use OpenCoreConfigurator to add it in. How important is it to generate a System UUID? Thanks. I'll consider replacing the nvme in the near future.

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Ok I'll search for "long boot times". Is there also recommendations for alternative drives that would work better? I had this nvme drive for Mojave and it seemed fine and booted really fast for me. Attached is a screenshot of where I just see "ADD" for the Serial Number. I had a serial number...

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

That must be the reason. I am running Monterey from a Samsung 970 EVO Nvme drive. What are the steps to create a unique serial number or to keep previous serial numbers from previous setups? I tried to generate one from Clover Configurator and OpenCore Configurator, but that did not work. Thanks

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Thanks @Leesureone. I just tried it today and it's working for me. With 7.4, I couldn't get bluetooth to work, but BT works with 7.6. Another thing I've been noticing... It takes about 1:57 secs to get to the login screen. With 7.4, I see that it hangs at this point...

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

You saved the day @Leesureone! I got it working agian with the clover you had on page 90. I did try "Removing kexts from macOS(S/L/E and L/E)” and “Cleaning the Clover Junk in your hardware" using terminal and manually removing the kext files but that did not work even after clearing nvram. So...

I got to delete the files listed under "Cleaning the Clover Junk in macOS" but did not do the steps under “Removing kexts from macOS(S/L/E and L/E)” and “Cleaning the Clover Junk in your hardware” because those commands seem like I would need to be booted into the os on the NVMe drive to do so...

Thanks @Leesureone! That sound like it could be the case. I have been in the process of copying some important files over to my NAS. Once those are finished transferring, I'll go through the process of clearing out the remnants of clover. I really appreciate all the help
