Hey everyone so I've done some searching around and it seems like people who have this issue have either recently updated OS or just built it.
My computer has been up and running fine for 3 years. Haven't updated past 10.8
Yesterday I went to restart computer for a fresh boot tomorrow at work...
Alright I know this is a pretty good Gap and there are probably other threads, but I was not able to find one.
My machine was being using in a production setting and didn't want to risk and upgrades. This computer will no longer be used for this and I'm willing to take the risk to upgrade...
I wasn't able to just upgrade. It said you cant upgrade direct to 8.1 so I had to do a full fresh install.
Everything went great! No issues at all, Phew!! Thank goodness!
Hate to be a pain but could you aloborate a little?
- So disconnect all other drives.
- Insert disk into drive and boot up.
- Install windows 8 over vista.
- Shutdown.
- Re hook up hard drives.
- Boot to BIOS and set MACOSX as primary drive.
- That should be it?
Anything I need to do about...
I currently have a Dual boot setup with OSX 10.8.2 and Vista.
I am going to upgrade to Win8 instead of vista.
What are the routes to take? It is very important I dont screw up my OSX side.
I have vista on its own HDD.
Update
I have added information on benchmarks and Definitions.

Well it looks like I may have figured out the problem.
I unpluged the VGA cable that was going to my monitor because that was the only thing that would work when first setting up the computer.
I went ahead...
I've tried booting using -v and it locks up here.
I've also tried -x and it starts to load at the apple screen. Shows spinning icon and a progress bar but the bar goes away at about half way and then spinning icon freezes.
I thought I bought all the recommended hardware and stuff but this...
I have this setup, and followed this guide.
http://hacksbyalfa.com/post/37512806211/thunderbolt-kepler
but everytime after i install the stuff from multi beast and the other recommend files. It just locks up when booting at the Apple logo.
I have also flashed my Bios to the latest F12e
I Tried booting using the code you listed and it stopped at this.
I even followed a video on youtube form a guy with the same motherboard and processor and still doesnt load after installing stuff from multi beast.
Another thing to is since i'm only using motherboard graphics its only...
If i install stuff from multibeast, I still have to go through unibeast boot loader and once it gets to apple logo it just sits there. No loading indicator or anything.
