Please let us know when you do!
I have also updated to yosemite. Had no problems with the general install but can't get the p-states working anymore..
Don't know why but the SSDT seems to not be picked up by Chimera (I checked my boot plist and generated new SSDT's with ssdtprgen script).
Giacomoleopardo Build - ZOTAC Z77-ITX WiFi - Core i7-3770T - MacMini 6,2 on Mavericks
You did it again, your guides are AWESOME!
I totally love 'my' rock solid h77n build!
Just tried Mac\Extra folder and delete nvram.00020003-0004-0005-0006-000700080009.plist but can't find the file (hidden files are shown) ...
Maciasl seems to work now, don't know what I did wrong before
I've sort of covered the parts of the guide that still work and the parts that are currently not working.
Everything is the same except for Maciasl not being usable (so no custom DSDT for your board).
I think Maciasl will be updated so then the guide is 100% usable for Mavericks again.
For now...
Thank you!
For those interested: Houdini doesn't work with Mavericks.
Only way it would show hidden files was with this terminal command:
> say Hidden items disabled
> defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE
> else
> say Hidden items enabled
> defaults write...
Ok I didn't know it was even possible.
About the Build:
Powermanagement for both CPU & GPU now working and it shows! :)
I just ran a few tests with my cheap kill-a-watt meter and got:
Sleep @ 2w
Idle @ 27w-30w
Geekbench @ 85w-91w
Disk-activity to 5400rpm HD @ 35w-45w
Flurry...
Don't worry about a fresh install if you have a clone or a time machine backup.
Just continue and put back your user files later using migration assistant.
It seems there's nothing wrong, just don't try to use the upgrade function, it doesn't like hackintoshes :)
Also upgraded to 10.9 with Giacomoleopardo's build
CPU states no problems but got stuck with the GPU (HD4000) as AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext does not contain an info.plist file
Does anyone know/suspect how this could be resolved?
Couple of questions:
Did you use the upgrade option? Probably best to do a clean install and then use migration assistant to copy your user settings from your old install/clone or a time machine backup.
Did you use the -x -v bootflags?
Where did it get stuck?
Maciasl doesn't work in Mavericks, I used the DSDT I made for Mountain Lion and that works (copied it from my ML extra's folder).
Now getting ready for setting up powermanagement.
So fully functional Mavericks with no problems as of yet.
GPU still to do (waiting for the freaking auto-update of...
I am making my Mavericks install drive right now, I have a fully functioning Mountain Lion hackintosh as per this build.
I'll keep you posted.
So far so good, clean install of Mavericks, no changes to UEFI required.
Be aware to not use chimera from previous install (use the unibeast disk...
I don't know exactly but I think your p-states are not fully optimal.
maybe you haven't done the following steps:
1. If you're using Chimera bootloader, simply go to /Extra and rename the file ssdt.aml.
2. Or this? (in org.chameleon.Boot.plist)Code:
<key>DropSSDT</key>
<string>Yes</string>
For...
@ Dyna, The Extra folder is located at the root of your HD (where you've installed) OS X.
To open org.chameleon.Boot.plist just right click and open with text edit, be sure to add tabs.
Alternatively you can open .plist files using Xcode (it's free from the OS X appstore) as you're going to...
Happy to help
the x100 is the core speed so leaving that @ x100 would make any overclock come from changing the multiplier right? Or did you mean to keep it at stock?
Hello Dyna,
I will answer with what I know to get you started.
When your system only runs with the -x command you should start following the guide (especially step 2, the patching of DSDT/Multibeast etc).
Which steps have you followed up until now?
About the CPU, you haven't said anything...
I guess if people run the update first and then follow the guide everything should work fine.
Anyway, I wanted to let you know I'm really happy!
This guide has made my pc from a pc running OS X into pretty much the real thing, thanks so much!
