@NorthAmTransAm only now did I find your request for testers for alpine ridge ssdt.
I have a GC Alpine Ridge 1.0 with Aorus Master Z390 and recently upgraded to Ventura.
Over the years I tried several times with hotplug ssdt etc. but eventually gave up.
Are you still open for testing/guiding?
@RehabMan
Yes, I'm addressing specifically you as I'm a zealous follower of your Probook guide ;)
Nevertheless, if other readers have suggestions or ideas, feel free to chip in.
I'm running quite a while now MacOS on my 4530s -- it works very good and your guide was very easy to follow.

Yes, I noticed that too.
So we have these symptoms:
* when I boot with the GMYLE bluetooth in any USB2 port, my screen goes black. When I go blind, I can type my password, hit enter and it continues the boot. I press Command-Ctrl-EjectMedia and it closes the apps, logs off and restarts the...
Hi guys,
This post is edited because I've been stupid. But from this stupidity came a solution!
Background:
I replaced my Asus NVidia 210 with a brand new MSI GeForce GTX 750.
Previously I booted Yosemite 10.10.05 (from Clover) with npci=0x2000, and Inject NVidia=Yes.
I removed those...
Hi guys,
A few days ago whenever I boot in mavericks (latest .2) the cuda preference pane opens.
It displays: "No newer CUDA Driver available"
Yet beneath it is: "CUDA Driver Version: 5.5.47 Update Required" (yes in red)
I tried redownloading and reinstalling from nvidia, the process ends...
Has anyone noticed the same as I? Volume level is reset to max after a reboot.
Just like the Brightness level. Luckily RHM has developed a workaround for that.
Is there also a workaround for a 'sticky' sound level?
Thx,
Biggie
Yep, I did that.
Speaking of such. Would it make sense to create a custom SSDT?
I just ran geektest and cputest. The CPU frequencies max at 2574Mhz, and the multiplier at x26.
After the test completes it frequency goes down to 792Mhz and x8.
Requirements:
Access to a Windows machine (either bare metal or virtual), version XP or up
USB stick
Image file to be used as custom logo that will be shown at booting your probook (make your own, find one with Google or you can use mine (which has been updated))
HP Ereplogo Utility (get it...
Hi,
Initially I had given up all hope of getting the fingerprint scanner to work in OS X.
However, when booting VMware Fusion I am given to possibility to attach the 'Validity Sensors USB device'.
Somewhere this name popped up, as it's not to be found by that name in the System Information...
Hi,
After test driving the process of creating a custom DSDT for my old desktop I decided to give it a go to replace the generic DSDT included in Philip's Probook installer with a custom one.
I followed Rehabman's guide on github:
- In Windows I used RW-Everything to create the raw DSDT.aml (I...
