thanks hackbox this fixed my issue of not being able to boot from the ssd... I have a z97 hd3 with a crucial drive.. raid was showing up on the yosemite icon after the install and couldnt boot. Ran the terminal commands rebooted with the usb then ran multibeast and all is well...

the static was fixed using the audio drivers from multibeast 5.4.3 on my build, with both mountain lion and mavericks.

i have the same board, i use on board audio and sleep work... Use the ethernet and audio drivers from multibeast 5.43, the latter ones arent very stable and cause the chrome static issue, cause your network to drop on mavericks. install mavericks and multibeast 6.0 and then reboot and install...
