I don't think your gigabyte vbios will work for me as mine has additional 6 pin connector up top.
yours don't!
did you get any model of this type (with 6 pin connector) working?
weird thing is, automatic switching works in windows
no matter what i keep in bios, windows automatically detects...
SUCESS.
Reinstallation did the trick.
Freshly installed OS X with fake id injection.
till I got 1536MB VRAM
then installed FakePCIID kexts with Kext utility and rebooted!
Full QE/CI
I re-quote,
You are a legend! :D :)
Thanks a lot man
there's an update
but its a beta one.
I have duel boot setup so that's not an issue
lets see how it goes.
Thank you for your help man
Either way RehabMan is helping me to get my hd 4400 up and running
Fingers crossed with that too!
EDIT:
Flashed new bios
and still nothing. doesn't show chipset...
I have tried various ways including the one you mentioned.
with Pci-e as primary sierra gets stuck and doesn't even show black screen.
should I update my bios in order to reveal chipset section?
Hello,
My system:
Intel i3 4160
GPU: Intel HD 4400 [Ports: 1 DVI 1 VGA 1 HDMI]
Gigabyte B85M-D3H-A
dGPU: XFX RX 460 4GB
I have read about 400 posts in past 2 days,
And Since Polaris 11 support is still unclear I wanted to use my iGPU
This is not my first hackintosh.
I did some tweaking with...
did the same.
but technically my bios doesn't have AUTO feature which needs to be implemented for multimonitor since there's only one VGA port.
So it will either let me use its VGA or the pcie
EDIT:
replaced my motherboard
got a new one with VGA DVI and HDMI Port
but weird thing is, still not...
I use my TV as monitor on HDMI
and the other monitor i have is VGA.
don't know how I am going to manage if i have to set IGFX as primary.
last one didn't work
let me try this one
EDIT:
Nope
Doesn't even show black screen
Can only boot in safe mode
EDIT2:
Does my IGFX have to have qe/ci in...
does it require a fake id though?
to load custom vbios?
Edit:
my motherboard has 1 VGA port only thus hd 4400 will never work.
Since it was oob recognised as some other card in el cap and was running on HDMI without [qe/ci]
Reading that 12.10 includes device id for polaris 11 i thought this...
Hello,
Applause for the effort you're putting it :)
I have been searching different forums since last 4-5 hours (crazily!)
My Rig:
i3-4160 [HD 4400 not supported]
8 Gigs RAM
XFX RX 460 4GB [Sad! Labour day sale! Got it cheap]
Since there's no way to return this particular card,
I would like to...
