Did that, didn't help.
Downgraded BIOS to 1.20, reinstalled OS X 10.8 (no update, no nothing), did everything I could think of, it's still a random chance.
I'm stumped. How can it not work under the exact conditions that it was working under 6 months ago?
Fixed it, I think it was the 10.8.3 update.
I added IOAudioFamily.kext from here and now it works.
edit:
Bloody hell, I lost it again, now I'm pretty sure it's the new iTunes.
@merv77:
You got the Bluetooth working? How?
Fuuny thing, I lost headphone sound, internal speakers work fine but whatever I plug into the headphone port, there's no sound.
I don't know if it's the 10.8.3 update or 1.21 bios or something else. Any ideas?
- Crap, no.
- Can you provide me a link for your AppleHDA?
- And a link for your Synaprics touchpad kext?
...
And 2 more things:
- Latest FakeSMC doesn't seem to fix screen artifacts, any suggestions?
- Any solutions for Nvidia GPU yet?
Hi guys!
After 7-8 months I decided to install OS X again. I found out that now the GenericUSBXHCI.kext included in Multibeast enables USB3 (although it seems to perform at USB2 speed), so I added it to the guide.
Now I need to know if any other issue has been solved since then:
- Bluetooth
-...
This happens after passing Chameleon or you don't even see the Acer logo?
If you did something wrong in BIOS options you can always reinstall the BIOS and every option will go back to default.
It means that there are some kexts in UniBeast USB flash drive that you need; My guess is NullCPUPowerManagement and FakeSMC, haven't you forgotten to install them on your HDD? Otherwise it could be the SMBios.plist that comes with UniBeast.
Note that Extra/Extension is hidden on UniBeast USB...
There's a universal kext for keyboard and touchpad in UniBeast USB stick, you can use that; It's in Extra/Extension (which is hidden).
I think it's temporarily down.
Mine is Atheros, I just wanted it for the guide. Thanks for the info.
Which one is used in [some] 5750 models?
Actually, if you don't need heavy 3D proccessing while you use windows, leave the nVidia GPU off in the BIOS; You'll get roughly double battery life (I get 5 hours) and CPU runs 10°...
Built-in mic works crisp and clear with patched AppleHDA.kext. (Which is included in the package.)
*Note that mic does not work with VoodooHDA. Don't use VoodooHDA anyways, it highly unstable in ML.)
- Windows works as always, normal; And an i3 model doesn't "need" a modded BIOS unless you want UEFI boot or if someday NullCPUPowerManagement and SleepEnabler stop working with a future OS X release.
- I think you should use a maximum of 4GB Ram during installation; Of course you can increase...
Guys, even if we ever get the discrete GPU recognized by the OS, we will probably never be able to use it, because Mac does not use Optimus technology for switching between GPUs. Our best hope could be that someday a real genius makes a program like Bumblebee for Mac which is highly unlikely...
You lost sleep after updating to 10.8.2? It's weird if you're using modded BIOS, but if you're not, probably the patched AppleRTC.kext got overwritten by the update and the issue will be fixed if you reinstall the patched one; Same thing about the trackpad, just reinstall the kexts.
And about...
