CPU Not Running at Full 3.3 Ghz; Very Sluggish OS

Hello, For the past few months, my Hackintosh has been running very sluggishly. Today, I think I found the root of that issue, as I stumbled upon my "About This Mac" reporting that my processor only runs at 1.2 GHz, rather than the full 3.3GHz. I'm not sure what's causing the throttled CPU...

Upgrading to Ivy Bridge in existing Hackintosh. i7-3770K

Hey there, So over a year ago I put together a Hackintosh machine. It's been running great for the whole time I've had it, but it's time for a few upgrades. I was considering putting in an i7-3770K, which I've heard is compatible with Mountain Lion, but I was wondering if there were any...

Optical drive not at all detected by 10.8.1 with JMicron36xATA.kext installed.

Thanks a ton for the suggestion, that and a bit of bios tweaking did the trick. I realized that when I flashed my bios I didn't change SATA back to AHCI. It's very important to do so I take it.

Optical drive not at all detected by 10.8.1 with JMicron36xATA.kext installed.

I've tried installing different variations of the JMicron36x kext, BlockStorageInjecter kext, and AHCI_3rdParty kext, yet my Lite-On DVD drive still isn't working at all in Mountain Lion 10.8.1. It will boot media such as my Ubuntu distro discs, but isn't merely displayed in System Information...

Mountain Lion - Realtek 889a not working after trying many methods!

I installed the kexts with Kext Wizard, and rebooted with no result. I now realize my real problem: that the ALC885HDA.kext isn't loading. I repaired S/L/E permissions using Kext Wizard, so that shouldn't be a problem. I don't know what else would be interfering, any idea? -Tyler

Mountain Lion - Realtek 889a not working after trying many methods!

I recently installed Mountain Lion, and for 4 days straight I've been trying to get my onboard audio to work. I've got a GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 board with ALC889a/885 on-board audio. I've tried at least 3 different DSDT mods, Toleda's kext, etc. After setting up a custom DSDT, my System...
