I couldn't get Q/E working on my system with an Asus motherboard. Switched from an HDMI cable to a DVI cable and it worked.

I solved the problem by using a DVI cable, GraphicsEnabler=Yes, Graphics Mode=1290x1080x32 and setting iGPU memory to 96mb.

I appreciated that instructions cannot be provided for unreleased software. The gist of my question is - Is it possible to install OS X with just an Ivy Bridge cpu? I've seen posts saying they've installed OS X with a SB cpu and then swapped in an IB cpu.

So it seems Gigabyte is the only option to avoid trouble. Regarding the other questions, could anyone explain how I would go about installing Mountain Lion once it is released? Would I have to install Snow Leopard beforehand?
